生活 所謂“生活”，簡單地說，就是生下來就要活著，不想活你可就別生。 可是生與不生，這由得了你么？ 中國人常說，“本人出生于某年某月某日”。“本人”真是了得，好像 背著雙手，邁著方步，逍遙自在地在后花園轉悠了一圈，然后找個出口 溜達了出來，“本人”來到這個世界似乎與生身之母全然沒有了關系。 這真是自大得可以。 在這個問題上，歐洲人就被中國人實際得多。若他是1986年來到這個世 界的，他則說I was born in 1986。翻譯成中國話，則是“我是1986年被 生出來的”。聽起來似乎不如“我出生于1986年”順耳，但卻是大實話。 對于中國人來說，講大實話真是一個遙遠的故事。 歐洲人祝愿君主時說long live，就是活得長久一些。通過保健養生，延年 益壽，long live是可能的，但卻不能讓你不死。這一點歐洲人很明白，所 以他們不說“萬壽無疆”，而說“活得長些”。 中國人則截然不同，明知道“人生自古誰無死”，還偏要一本正經地高 喊“萬歲！萬歲！萬萬歲！”。 口是心非，大概就是這樣的吧。

第七講 分譯法概說 所謂分譯，即將原語中的一個較為復雜 的句子翻譯成目的語中兩個或兩個以上 的句子，這樣可以使譯文結構簡潔、語 義清晰、意思明了。
